Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of dcs4.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

The Service

dcs4.com tracks the availability of short .com domain names and lets you search them, download lists, chat with an AI assistant about them, watch domains, buy available domains, and "snipe" expiring domains, meaning we try to register a domain for you the moment it drops. Availability data is collected automatically and may be out of date or wrong. Treat it as informational and check it before you rely on it.

Accounts

• You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to make purchases.

Domain registration

Domains are registered through our registrar partner, Spaceship. Every registration is also subject to the registrar's terms and to ICANN and Verisign policies. To register a domain you must provide accurate registrant contact details. We send these to the registrar, and the law may require them to be published or kept on record. You are the registrant of any domain you buy through the Service and are responsible for how it's used.

Snipes

• A snipe is an attempt, not a guarantee. Other services compete for the same domains, and a drop can be delayed, cancelled, or go to someone else.
• Snipes are paid up front. If a snipe is lost, fails, or you cancel it before the drop, we refund the registration portion of the price automatically. The sniping fee is not refundable.
• If several users snipe the same domain, the earliest snipe has priority.

Payments and subscriptions

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD at checkout and on the pricing page.
• Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Except where these terms or the law say otherwise, payments for subscriptions and registered domains are non-refundable.
• Domain renewals are charged at the price shown when you renew.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's data beyond what your plan allows;
• overload, probe, or interfere with the Service, or get around its rate limits or captchas;
• register domains to infringe trademarks, phish, distribute malware, or break the law;
• share your account or let other people use it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI chat

The chat assistant's answers are generated by an AI model and may be wrong. Nothing it says is legal, financial, or trademark advice. Check that a name is clear before you build a business on it.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed domains or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.
